Time for an update!

School
I started school at the beginning of last month. I wanted to take psychology but wasn't sure how difficult English 1010 was going to be so I just stuck with taking English 1010 and Math 0960. I am really enjoying it so far. My professors are great; especially, my English profess (Brad Roghaar). I love his method of teaching. I have learned so many things in his class this past month and a half. I have also gained a new perspective on life.

I still haven't gotten a bike : ( Hopefully, I'll have one by summertime. Although at this point, I'd much rather have a Canon dSLR XSi : ). I found a great deal on eBay! As soon as I have money, I am totally buying it! So back to talking about school.

Last semester, I received an A in math and a B in English. Can I get a woot woot? What's even better is I got college credit for the AP classes I took in high school which I didn't think I would get. My current GPA is 3.82! Can I get another woot woot? I am so proud of myself!

Kairi
Kairi is going to be TWO in four days! I can't believe my baby girl is going to be two. She most definitely does not look two years old! We recently had a WIC and doctor's appmt and she only weighs 18lbs 3oz and measures 29.5 inches tall. She is in the 0th percentile for weight and the 1st percentile for height! I think her head is still the biggest part of her body. Not much by much though.

I can't get over how much she has blossomed. She has quite the personality and vocabulary now. She probably knows about 100 words and a dozen or so phrases. She can also count to three. Sometimes she says 1, 2, 1, 2, 9. I have no idea where she got that from! Also, she's daytime potty trained! My goal was to get her potty trained by the time he turned two and I did it!

She's such a smarty pants. I bought her a few puzzles awhile back and in less than a few days she has figured out ALL of them. I was surprised she was able to figure out her alphabet puzzle so quickly. She never messes up. It's quite amazing! She can tell what certain body parts are and where they are, she can point out animals in a book and tell you what they are (she can even sometimes tell what sound they make), she points herself, me, and her dad out in pictures. Oh, and she has figured out how to open/close doors. Her favorite is opening the fridge and getting water out of the water filter!

We got family pictures done awhile back. My friend Amber took them. You can check out some of the pictures she took at her website: http://amber-amphotography.blogspot.com. They turned out great. I have been anxiously waiting to get the CD with all the pictures she took! If you're in the Davis County area and want your pictures taken, I highly recommend getting them done by her. She's a great photographer and fun to be around. She only charges $64 for a 1 hour session and she puts all the pictures (hi-resolution pictures) on a CD. Not only that but she'll shoot at a location of your choice!

Me
So I made a goal to exercise every day for at least 30 minutes and to eat more healthy. I have done a fairly good job at keeping up with those goals. About two weeks ago, I weighed 136lbs and now I weigh 130lbs. I have noticed my love handles are going away which makes me happy and keeps me motivated. I am hoping by summertime, I'll weigh 115lbs and will have a nice bikini bottom. I think it's totally doable and as long as I stay motivated it will happen! I am going to periodically make a post with how things are going with my weight.

I don't know why but I sometimes find it hard to update my blog on a daily basis. I guess it's because I don't really know what to say half the time. Not only that but I don't think I am that great of a writer : ( Fortunately, I am learning a lot and think my writing will greatly improve after I finish English 1010.

This is totally off subject, but Tyler is on a diet! I am so proud of him for dieting. I didn't think he ever would. He is on the paleo diet and has been for about a week and half. He has eat more salad in the past week than I have seen him eat in the past 3 years I have been with him! He is also exercising which I have never seen him do until recently. He bought a jump rope and jump ropes almost, if not every day : ) He has really impressed me with dieting and exercising. I hope he'll start running with me every day!
